MARCUS RASHFORD’S USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA has been so effective over the past year that the exam board have decided to add him as a topic in student’s GSCE media studies course.
The Man United star managed to win over the country and children when he convinced the government to provide kids in need with free school meals in the pandemic.
And now youngsters will get to study how they can use social media to also get positive things done when they study Rashford as part of their GSCE’s.
Social media gets a lot of criticism for the trolling that takes on the platforms, but the exam board want to use the striker as inspiration for student’s to show that there’s a lot of good that can be done if they use their voices in the right way.Embed from Getty Images
The head of the curriculum for creative arts, at the AQA exam board , Sandra Allen spoke on how excited they are to add Rashford to the GSCE subject.
She said to Sky Sports: “I’m really excited by the changes we’ve made – they’re engaging and relevant and will inspire and motivate.
“Marcus Rashford is one of the most influential and inspirational young people in the UK, so students can learn a huge amount from how he uses social media to make a real impact.
“It’s not just an opportunity for them to learn about social media – it’s also a great way to learn about important social and race issues as part of our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in the curriculum.”
