CONOR MCGREOR thinks the only reason he didn’t beat Dustin Poirer in their UFC 264 battle was because his leg broke.
The Irishman went down in the first round of their scrap in a heap but was adamant that if he was allowed to carry on, Poirer would’ve been history.
McGregor revealed that he had been dealing with the injury, (which he claims UFC boss Dana White knew about) in the lead up the Poirer fight but thought he had it under control.

In an exchange that was shared by talkSPORT, McGregor exclaimed: “I been dealing with it the whole camp, (a statement that he repeated twice.)
“I didn’t think nothing was going to happen though, I had him there.”
But the judges didn’t agree and before McGregor hit the the canvas, they awarded the first round 10-8 to Poirer.
Things went from bad to worse for McGregor and he had to have surgery on his leg the next day, pushing his return back to ring ’til atleast next summer.
